SEN Teacher Secondary School
Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £150 - £210 Per Day
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting.
- Create individual learning plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to provide a holistic approach to student development.
- Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Specialist training or experience in teaching students with SEN.
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and SEN Code of Practise.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school environment, preferably with SEN students.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practises.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Effective classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
- Experience working with students with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or autism.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a secondary school setting in Greater London.
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
