About the Role: As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the chance to work in a range of secondary schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose the days and locations that suit you, making it an ideal option for teachers seeking a work-life balance or gaining experience in different educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students remain on task.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively in line with school policies.
- Adapt to different school environments and adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and report on their progress.
- Mark and assess students’ work as required.
- Collaborate with school staff to support students' learning and development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work effectively in different schools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
