Secondary Maths Teacher

Location: England, Greater London, Wimbledon

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £150 - £250 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through various methods
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and teaching methods
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching Maths at the secondary level
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Proficient in using educational technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Mathematics
  • Experience in implementing differentiated instruction

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Classroom-based teaching with some extracurricular responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
