A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to join a unique alternative provision setting in New Milton. This is a full-time role supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH). The role requires someone with QTS and a passion for making a real difference in the lives of students who need a more personalised approach to learning.

This specialist setting is known for its strong values, nurturing culture, and therapeutic approach to education. With a focus on emotional wellbeing and academic growth, the school works closely with each student to rebuild confidence and reignite a love for learning. What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering creative and engaging Maths lessons adapted to individual learning styles and needs

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in both academic and personal development

  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom culture with high expectations and clear routines

  • Working closely with pastoral and therapeutic staff to ensure a holistic approach to education

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience or interest in SEN or alternative provision

  • Someone who is patient, empathetic and consistent in their approach

  • A confident classroom leader with strong behaviour management and a passion for maths

  • An educator who believes in second chances and the power of personalised education
