Secondary History Teacher
Location: England, Greater London, Lambeth
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £150 - £210 Per day
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging History lessons to secondary school students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching methods
- Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in History or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching History at the secondary level

Experience:
Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the History curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience using technology in the classroom
- Participation in continuing education courses related to History teaching
Working Conditions:
The role of a Secondary History Teacher involves working full-time hours in a secondary school setting. The teacher will be required to manage a classroom of students, prepare lesson plans, and participate in school-related activities and meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
