Secondary History Teacher

Location: England, Greater London, Lambeth

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £150 - £210 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging History lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching methods
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in History or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the History curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom
  • Participation in continuing education courses related to History teaching

Working Conditions:

The role of a Secondary History Teacher involves working full-time hours in a secondary school setting. The teacher will be required to manage a classroom of students, prepare lesson plans, and participate in school-related activities and meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
