Job description

Teaching personnel are currently working with several secondary schools based in Stoke-on-Trent looking for part-time Cover Supervisors. The schools are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and passionate about the academic and social development of young students. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers/graduates looking to gain experience within a mainstream secondary school.

The role:

  • Opportunity to start after Easter
  • Competitive day rate between £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Flexible and part-time roles available
  • The schools are based across Stoke-on-Trent with excellent transport links between Congleton and Macclesfield

As a Cover Supervisor, you will cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. All work will be pre-prepared by the school so you will be required to maintain a positive learning environment ensuring all the set work is completed. You must be able to confidently manage behaviour and always adhere to the school’s behaviour policies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within a school or relevant degree is essential for this role
  • Confidence and ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Safeguarding training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, all applicants must have an enhanced child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
