Cover Supervisor
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for confident cover supervisors who have a passion for improving the academic development of young students.
The schools are all in great locations with excellent transport links between Crewe, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Macclesfield.
- Opportunity to earn £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
- Immediate start upon registering with Teaching Personnel
- Flexible work with the opportunity for full-time
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes across a variety of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
- Creating an engaging and positive learning environment for all students
- Liaising with class teachers and pastoral staff to ensure the needs of all students are met
What we are looking for:
- Ability to maintain a calm and focused classroom environment, ensuring all students remain on task and all work is completed
- Previous experience working within a school environment is necessary for this role
- Good understanding of the secondary school curriculum and classroom management strategies
- Safeguarding Training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
