Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) – Manchester
A vibrant and well-resourced secondary school in Manchester is looking for a passionate Science Teacher to join their department. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this is a full-time, long-term role with the potential for a permanent contract. The school is seeking a motivated educator who can bring Science to life and engage students in both practical and theoretical learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Science lessons within your specialism, ensuring students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Plan and conduct hands-on experiments, encouraging curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Support students with GCSE exam preparation, providing tailored intervention sessions where needed.
- Monitor student progress, using data-driven insights to adapt teaching methods and maximise achievement.
- Contribute to the Science department, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Create an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel supported and motivated.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4, with a strong understanding of the GCSE syllabus.
- Ability to bring scientific concepts to life through practical demonstrations and engaging discussions.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Passion for Science education and a commitment to professional development.
