Science Teacher - Tameside

Position: Science Teacher
Location: Tameside
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £162-£251 per day (dependent on pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Tameside. This exciting role offers an opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of science across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations, providing tailored support to maximize achievement.
  • Encouraging curiosity and critical thinking through practical experiments and interactive teaching strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Science Department to create a dynamic and inclusive curriculum.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, ensuring individual learning needs are met.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Science.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A commitment to raising student attainment and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to student support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
