Salary: From £166.32 - £250 per day (Paid to scale)

Teaching Personnel are working with a supportive secondary school in Newport, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team. The school is committed to providing a high-quality education to our students, and we are looking for a talented individual to inspire and educate our young minds.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to teach a range of science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, to students of all abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of our science department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science subjects to students across key stages 3-5
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the science department, including curriculum planning and resource development
  • Participate in parental evenings, staff meetings, and other school events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a relevant science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field).
  • Experience of teaching science to students of all abilities (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
