Role Overview

As a Science Teacher, you will work with students aged 11 to 16 who are part of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and Alternative Provision settings.

Your role will involve delivering a differentiated science curriculum that meets the individual needs of students who may face challenges related to their emotional and mental health. You will work in a school environment that values inclusivity, with an emphasis on providing each student with the support they need to succeed.

You will create engaging lessons that spark curiosity and allow students to explore and understand the world of science. Your teaching will encourage students to develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need both academically and emotionally. The role will also involve managing classroom behaviour, fostering a positive and safe learning environment where every student feels respected and valued.

 

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher with QTS who is passionate about working with students with SEMH and in Alternative Provisions.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, adaptable, and committed to providing a high-quality education that is tailored to the needs of each student. Experience in teaching students with emotional and mental health challenges is highly desirable, though not essential.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact and has the ability to create a nurturing and inspiring classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
