Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that stimulates intellectual curiosity and supports diverse learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that promotes growth and understanding.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, fostering a vibrant school culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant science discipline.
  • Experience teaching science at secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for science and education, with a commitment to student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
