Science Teacher – Permanent/Temp-to-Perm – Blackpool (FY4)

Location: Blackpool, FY4
Salary: MPS/UPS
Contract: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm (dependent on candidate suitability)
Start Date: As soon as possible

A well-respected Academy in Blackpool, FY4, is seeking a talented and dedicated Science Teacher to join their thriving department. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic learning environment.

About the Role: The successful Science Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and help students achieve their full academic potential. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Use data and feedback to inform and refine teaching practices.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to take ownership of their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level (any specialism considered).
  • Passion for Science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

This position is offered on a permanent or temp-to-perm basis, depending on the candidate's preferences and suitability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
