Job description

ONE OF OUR AMAZING PARTNER SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN B37 IS SEEKING A SCIENCE TEACHER TO JOIN THEIR AMAZING TEAM!

 

The school work in close partnership with Teaching Personnel, and pride themselves on creating calm, focused learning spaces for all pupils. They are seeking a qualified science teacher to work in their dedicated and experienced science department, on a full time basis (flexible hours can be discussed for the right applicant.)

 

Important Details:

 

Location: B37

Hours: Full Time (negotiable for the right applicant)

Rate of Pay: £165-250 per day

Start date: ASAP/ Easter 2025

 

Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging science lessons to a range of age groups across years 7-11

- Cater to the individual learning needs within each class, adapting your teaching styles to suit these

- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a confident stance at the front of the class

- Committed to upholding the values and principles of the school

- Communicate well with colleagues and parents to ensure safety and wellbeing of pupils is of high importance at all times

-Contribute to wider school community where possible i.e. involvement in after school activities, parents evenings, covering lessons 

 

Our ideal candidate will:

- hold a UK QTS (or equivalent qualification)

- have experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school

- have strong subject knowledge and be confident delivering lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

- have an enhanced, child only DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
