The Role

We’re looking for an engaging Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join an ambitious secondary school in vibrant North Liverpool. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a love of learning, and helping students reach their full potential in Biology and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver inspiring lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, with a focus on Biology.
  • Encourage students to explore the wonders of science through practical experiments, interactive lessons, and critical thinking.
  • Support students of varying abilities, ensuring every child feels challenged and motivated.
  • Collaborate with a supportive and forward-thinking science department.
  • Contribute to extracurricular science clubs and activities that make learning come alive!

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A specialism in Biology with the ability to teach other sciences confidently.
  • Passion, creativity, and a genuine commitment to student success.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing approach.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
