Science Teacher – Manchester

Location: Manchester
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: April 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

A well-regarded secondary school in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join their department. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence and student engagement, making it an excellent environment for teachers who want to inspire the next generation of scientists.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies to support individual needs.
  • Creating a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and scientific thinking.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the Science department to develop resources and share best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a Science-related subject.
  • Previous experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
