Science Specialist Cover Supervisor / Supply Teacher

About the Role

Do you thrive on igniting curiosity about the world we live in? As a Science Specialist Cover Supervisor / Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Step into classrooms to deliver prepared Science lessons, covering topics across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4.
  • Use your subject expertise to answer questions, inspire scientific thinking, and foster an engaging learning environment.
  • Occasionally cover general subjects, diversifying your experience and contributing more widely to the school community.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule and a clock-in, clock-off model unless additional responsibilities are agreed, in which case pay is adjusted.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong subject background in Science, with qualifications or experience (QTS, degree, A Levels, NVQs).
  • Confident classroom presence, capable of motivating students with hands-on and theoretical science.
  • Organised, reliable, and flexible in adapting to different school environments and year groups.
  • Committed to encouraging students’ interest in STEM without a long-term full planning and marking commitment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
