Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Stockport

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Stockport as a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience, starting in October and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential to secure a permanent role based on performance.

Role Overview:

• Supporting the Science department across KS3 and KS4 classes, assisting in lesson preparation, and ensuring students engage with the subject matter.
• Providing 1:1 or small group support to students who need additional help understanding key concepts in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Helping to manage classroom behavior, ensuring a productive learning environment.
• Assisting in the setup of practical experiments and demonstrations, supporting the teacher in delivering engaging and hands-on science lessons.
• Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to help tailor future lessons.
• Supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their potential in the subject.

This role is ideal for recent Science graduates considering a career in teaching, offering valuable experience in an educational setting.

Key Details:

• Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week (depending on experience and responsibilities).
• Full-time role, Monday to Friday during school hours.
• Start date: October, continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance.
