Safeguarding, Welfare, and Attendance Manager (SEMH School)
Are you a compassionate and experienced professional passionate about safeguarding and pupil welfare? A small, community-focused SEMH school for secondary-aged pupils is seeking a Safeguarding, Welfare, and Attendance Manager to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be integral in ensuring the safety, welfare, and attendance of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. You will:

Liaise with outside agencies and local authorities to coordinate effective support.

Identify pupils requiring additional support and develop tailored welfare plans.

Conduct home visits where necessary to ensure pupil wellbeing and re-engagement.

Work closely with school staff to create a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Monitor attendance, identifying barriers and implementing strategies to improve pupil engagement.
This role will initially be offered through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent school contract following a successful probationary period. Salary will be discussed during the interview stage.
Requirements:

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training or experience is essential.

Proven experience working with outside agencies and support services to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to build trust with families, staff, and external partners.

Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
