RE Teacher

We are working with a supportive secondary school in the heart of Rochdale who are seeking a dynamic and passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach RE across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to explore the world’s major religions and moral issues in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach RE to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Encourage critical thinking, discussions, and respect for different beliefs and cultures.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A strong passion for Religious Education and the ability to inspire students.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to supporting students’ personal and academic development.
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative and dynamic teaching environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
