Role: Maths Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Start: January 2025 or sooner
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
Age: Secondary

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join the permanent staff of a highly reputable Multi Academy Trust in Darwen. This role is set to begin in January 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start date if available.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and ambitious school community, committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continued improvement of teaching and learning within the department.
  • Support students of all abilities, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of student progress and behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it by the start date.
  • Have a strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to teach across a range of abilities.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students.
  • Be a committed team player with a passion for improving the educational experience of all learners.
  • Show enthusiasm for professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest pedagogical approaches.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
