Teacher of Psychology 

Portsmouth, Hampshire

Temporary, Summer Term 

April Start

 

Teaching Personnel works in partnership with a number of secondary schools across the Portsmouth area, one school in particular are currently seeking a Teacher of Psychology to support throughout the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This role will be on a two weekly rotating timetable:

Week A:

Monday all day

Thursday all day

 

Week B:

Monday all day

Wednesday am

Thursday all day

Friday am

 

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Psychology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Follow a two-weekly rotating timetable, ensuring consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Plan, assess, and support student progression in line with the curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with the department and wider school staff to enhance student outcomes.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and/or A-Level is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
