Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a recent Psychology Graduate to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
This position will be full-time, ASAP.
The salary for this position will be between £1500 and £1800 per month dependent on the hours you are required to work by the school.
If you are interested in starting a career supporting young people with special educational needs, this will be an ideal opportunity for you to gain experience. You will be required to work in small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to ensure that they are receiving the correct amount of support during the school day.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Many of the pupils that you will be working with will have Education, Health, and Care plans, it will be your responsibility to support them with this.
- You should be able to quickly build relationships with the pupils to ensure that they can trust you to discuss any issues that they may have throughout school.
- You must provide emotional support to the pupils, if you discover anything concerning, it will be your responsibility to report this to the correct members of staff.
In order to be cleared for work, you must be willing to undergo a fully enhanced DBS check, this will also need to be placed onto the update service. You will also be required to complete an online safeguarding course. You will also need to provide a minimum of two employment-based references which will cover the last two years of your work history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
