Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Lancaster

Start Date: May 2025

Contract Type: Flexible 

Are you a passionate Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in the field of education? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and supportive secondary school environment, where you will contribute to the academic and personal development of our students.

Responsibilities:

-          Assist the teaching staff in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.

-          Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.

-          Assist in the preparation of lesson materials, including creating visual aids, handouts, and presentations.

-          Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and encourages critical thinking.

Requirements:

-          A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.

-          Passion for education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching or educational psychology.

-          Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

-          Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
