Primary Teaching Assistant - Wigan

Start Date: September 2025

Location: Wigan

Pay Rate: £89.44 - £100 / Day

Contract: Part-Time and Full-Time roles available

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or QTS
• Relevant experience working in a childcare setting
• An Enhanced Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Secure knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (Training available)

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with a dedicated and caring team to consistently create a fun and supportive space for learning
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils reach their full potential
• Assist students with Phonics, Numeracy and Literacy activities
• Encouraging learning through play, and supporting children aged in their daily routines
• Encouraging positive behaviour, monitoring child progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
