Higher-Level Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate

Pay Rate: £105 - £140 per day

Location: Wigan

Contract: Full time, Temporary, Flexible positions available

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school in the Wigan area who are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to start after the Easter Holiday, with the opportunity to go permanent in September. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans for students who require additional support.

The ideal candidate will have:

• HLTA status / Meet the HLTA standards
• Child Workforce DBS on the update service (Or willingness to obtain one)
• Be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers
• Be enthusiastic and have a hands on approach to helping pupils achieve their goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to fulfil the role of a Teaching Assistant as well as higher level tasks such as PPA Cover, Small group tuition and 1:1 support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
