Are you a Qualified or Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT/NQT) looking to expand your classroom experience, develop professionally, and enjoy the flexibility of supply work?

Teaching Personnel is actively seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic teachers to join our growing team of Primary Supply Teachers across Newport and Torfaen. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across a variety of schools and year groups, gain valuable experience, and take control of your own work schedule.


The Role:

As a supply teacher, you’ll be:

  • Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons to primary-aged pupils.

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for children of all abilities.

  • Following school policies while building strong relationships with staff and pupils.

  • Using your own online diary to manage availability and bookings for flexible or consistent work.

  • Gaining exposure to different school cultures, leadership styles, and classroom settings—a great advantage for newly qualified teachers!


Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.

  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council).

  • A valid Child-Only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Confidence teaching across different year groups, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

  • A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.

  • Job Title: Supply Primary School Teacher

  • Areas: Newport & Torfaen

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

  • Start: ASAP

  • Daily Pay: From £166.32 (paid weekly)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
