We’re actively recruiting motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants across Torfaen, with the potential to transition into a qualified teaching role once QTS is achieved.

Position: Teaching Assistant (Future Teacher Role)

Location: Cwmbran, Torfaen
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-Time and Part-time available)
Pay: £89+ per day (rising to £166+ once qualified)
Start Date: Immediate

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all learners

  • Adapting to different classrooms, age groups, and individual needs

  • Managing classroom behavior and promoting positive learning outcomes

  • Assisting pupils with additional or special educational needs

  • Staying up to date with the latest educational trends and best practices


What You’ll Need:

  • An Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service

  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)

  • A passion for education and a desire to become a qualified teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – or currently working towards it

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
