Primary SEMH Teacher – Southampton

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real impact in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A specialist primary school in Southampton is seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join their team.

Set in beautiful grounds with spacious teaching and learning areas, the school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to thrive. Backed by a strong Leadership and Support Team (LST), the school is dedicated to ensuring every child receives a high-quality education in a positive and structured setting.

The Role:

  • Full-time or a minimum of 4 days per week
  • Initially working through Teaching Personnel, leading to a permanent school contract
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to support pupils with SEMH needs
  • Creating a safe and structured learning environment to encourage positive behaviour and engagement

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience in specialist provisions or supporting pupils with SEMH is desirable
A resilient and compassionate approach to teaching
A commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment

Pay to scale + SEND allowance
Based in Southampton
