Primary Supply and Long-Term Teachers Needed – Wigan

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for flexible supply work, a long-term teaching role, or a pathway to a permanent position? Join Zack and the team at Teaching Personnel, where we’re helping local schools in Wigan find passionate educators to make a real difference.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunities to cover short-term supply, long-term roles, and temp-to-perm positions.
  • Flexible work tailored to your schedule—choose between 1-5 days per week or full-time positions.
  • A £300 signing bonus for securing a role with us.
  • Competitive daily pay rates for supply roles: £130-£180 per day, based on experience and school.
  • Paid to scale for full-time, long-term roles.

About the Roles:

  • Work with schools across Wigan, covering year groups from EYFS to Year 6 (flexibility with year groups is highly desirable).
  • Enjoy the variety of day-to-day supply teaching or focus on long-term placements leading to permanent roles.
  • Support local schools facing teacher absences, contributing to the education and development of young learners.
  • Be available for morning calls between 7:30 am and 8:15 am for emergency cover. Pre-booked opportunities are also available.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
