Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Rate: £12.90 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary, Immediate Start
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school, which caters for pupils aged 5-11 with a range of additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism, and speech and language challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups with a variety of SEN needs.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalized learning programs.
- Support pupils with their emotional, social, and academic development.
- Assist with personal care needs for students with PMLD, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly MLD, PMLD, and Autism, is highly desirable.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to learning support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A commitment to making a positive impact on children's lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
