Position: Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Daily Rate: £88 - £105 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
-
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their learning and personal development.
-
Assist in classroom management and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Work with children who may need additional support, adapting learning activities to meet their needs.
-
Encourage students to actively engage with their studies and help them develop confidence.
-
Build meaningful relationships with students, offering encouragement and guidance when needed.
Essential Skills:
-
Experience in Childcare or Care: You must have a background in childcare, care work, or a related field, demonstrating your ability to engage with and support children.

Passion for Working with Children: You genuinely enjoy working with young learners and are committed to supporting them in reaching their potential.

At least a Grade C in GCSE English and Maths: You must have at least a grade C (or equivalent) in both English and Maths GCSEs, as these are essential skills for supporting children’s education.

DBS on the Update Service (or Willingness to Apply): You must have an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one to ensure the safety and well-being of the children you work with.

Strong Communication Skills: You’ll be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, ensuring a supportive and cohesive learning environment.

Patience and Flexibility: You’re patient and adaptable, able to support students with varying needs and learning styles.

Team Player: You’ll work well within a team, collaborating with teachers and other staff to support students’ growth and learning.
Desirable Skills (but not essential):

Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with children with special educational needs (SEN).

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistant, or a similar field.
