The team at Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable PE teacher to work on a full time basis at one of our mainstream secondary schools in Coventry.
The ideal candidate will have experience of sports coaching or PE teaching and will feel confident delivering dynamic PE lessons to Years 7-13.
Job Details:
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
OFSTED: "Good" School
Pay Rate: £160-225 (per day, dependent upon experience. We will pay to scale for fully qualified teachers in a long-term role)
Hours: Full Time (part time and flexible hours considered for the right candidate)
Start Date: January 2025/Feb 2025
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Level 1-3 Sports Coaching badges/qualifications
- Experience delivering PE sessions in a secondary school
- Experience delivering sports after school activities/clubs
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
Job Roles/Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons to a range of ages and abilities across the secondary school
- Regularly assess pupil progress through various forms of assessment
- Provide pupils with timely and informative feedback to encourage their learning and development within PE
- Collaborate with colleagues with the PE department to ensure high engagement and a top performance within the school
- Actively contribute to the delivery of extra curricular activities and encourage active participation even amongst the most disengaged pupils
- Support pupils with special educational needs and ensure various provisions are put in place to help them achieve their best
