HAVE YOU GOT A QTS IN SECONDARY PE OR HAVE RELEVANT TEACHING EXPERIENCE WITHIN A UK SECONDARY SCHOOL?

Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with an OUTSTANDING school in Coventry to appoint a PE teacher on a full time basis, ASAP.

Rate of Pay: To scale for FQT (or £150-250 per day dependent upon experience)

Location: CV6, Coventry

Hours: Full time, term time only (Mon-Fri)

Ideal Candidate:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

- Sports coaching qualifications

- Previous experience delivering PE lessons within secondary schools

- Strong behaviour management and strong presence

- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and awareness of policies and procedures surrounding safeguarding

Roles and Responsibilities: 

- Plan (where necessary) and deliver engaging physical education lessons to a range of pupils and year groups

- Encourage active participation in all PE lessons, encouraging inclusivity and involvement

- Assess pupil progress on a regular basis providing informative feedback

- Implement and lead extra curricular activities and encourage participation in this

- Promote a healthy lifestyle and set a good example amongst the school

- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs

- Communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils

- Collaborate well with colleagues to enhance the PE department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
