Job Title: Pastoral/Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Burnage

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £90 - £110 Per day (based on 6.5 hour working day)

Job Duties:

• Provide pastoral support to students experiencing behavioural issues
• Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies
• Work closely with teachers and parents to address student needs
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
• Organise and facilitate mentoring or counselling sessions

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working in an educational or youth support setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy

Education:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Additional qualifications in counselling or youth work desirable

Experience:

• Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges
• Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of child development and behaviour management techniques
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
• Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Qualifications in counselling, psychology, or youth work
• Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with regular school hours
• Work primarily within a school environment
• May involve some evening or weekend work for special events or meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
