About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the academy, ensuring that all operational aspects function smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing administration management, ensuring that office processes and procedures run efficiently.

  • Managing health and safety, IT services, and estate operations, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.

  • Providing secretarial support to the Principal, coordinating schedules and key administrative tasks.

  • Leading the administration team and lunchtime staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Being the first point of contact for HR matters, including attendance, payroll, and performance management.

  • Assisting in school events and projects, from coordinating recruitment processes to organising charity events and school fairs.

They need a confident and organised professional with:

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with external agencies, parents, staff, and students.

  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in a busy school environment.

  • Excellent IT and administrative skills, with experience in school management systems (Bromcom experience desirable, but training available).

  • Experience in managing teams, with the ability to lead, motivate, and support staff.

  • A problem-solving approach, able to think ahead and find solutions in a dynamic setting.

  • A commitment to ensuring all children receive the best possible education and support.
