Job Description:
Are you passionate about working with young children and making a positive impact on their early development? Our Nursery is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant with an Early Years qualification to join our team. You will be a key part of our nurturing and supportive environment, helping to deliver high-quality early years education to children aged 0-5 years.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager and the rest of the team to create a safe, stimulating, and enriching learning environment. You will be responsible for providing the children with the care, attention, and guidance they need to thrive during these critical early years of development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of a range of age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Create a positive and safe learning environment where children feel happy, secure, and confident.
- Observe and assess children’s development, supporting their individual needs and tracking their progress.
- Assist in daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and supervising outdoor play.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and learning activities.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe nursery environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and help children learn to interact with each other in a kind and respectful way.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training to support your own professional development.
Person Specification:
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or 3) is essential.
- Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting is desirable.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children and parents.
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a caring nature.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
