Job description

Here at TP Tutors, we are seeking an individual who is both dedicated and passionate about making a difference to join our team as a SEN tutor . You will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored academic support and fostering a positive learning environment to young people who are not in a mainstream educational setting. I currently have referrals available in the NN1, NN2 and NN3 area that are available to start asap. As a tutor you’ll need to be able to support these pupils in Maths and English. If you can specialise in one subject then no need to worry, we can look for another tutor who can support the pupil with the remaining hours required.

 

These pupils are secondary aged but are working at a primary level.

 

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Develop individualized learning plans based on students' strengths and needs.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to engage and support students with SEN.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and resources to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with ourselves, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements using our LEAP platform.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience working with students with SEN/SEMH
  • Knowledge of different learning disabilities and strategies to support them
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
