Night Support Worker
Location- Lancaster
Salary- £33,374 - £39,542 assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep ins per month
Contract Type Permanent
Training: A full 4-week induction on our Care Academy
Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an independent, specialist day and residential school in Lancaster providing high quality education and care for children between the ages of 7 and 18. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils exhibiting social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, alongside a range of other associated conditions.
Responsibilities
- To liaise with senior staff on arrival for duty in order to be made aware of any on-going/outstanding issues i.e. medical, behavioural, building etc.
- To supervise young people during the hours of sleep
- To perform routine cleaning tasks ensuring that the home is always well presented
- To become fully conversant with the home’s philosophy and policies.
- To respect and maintain the confidential nature of the work.
Education
- Requirement to achieve NVQ level 3
- Requirement to participate in a range of training programmes provided by the Home and the Group.
- Ability to make written recordings
- Ability to provide verbal reports
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- High level of resilience
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
- Ability to maintain professional standards at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
