MFL Teacher
Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you want to inspire students to explore the world through language and culture? If so, we want you to join our dedicated team.
We are seeking a talented MFL teacher to join our vibrant department from September 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach French, Spanish, or another language at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 for candidates with the right experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging MFL lessons across a range of abilities and key stages.
- Foster a love of languages and encourage cultural awareness among students.
- Plan, prepare, and assess effective lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Provide support and guidance to help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
- Contribute to extracurricular language activities and trips, helping students immerse themselves in the culture of the language they are studying.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and student outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant degree in French, Spanish, or another Modern Foreign Language, or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A genuine passion for teaching languages and inspiring students to appreciate different cultures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Experience in planning and delivering effective MFL lessons.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to support all learners, including those with varying levels of language proficiency.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
