Role: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Start Date: January 2025 (or sooner)
Contract Type: Permanent

A fast-improving and dynamic secondary school in King’s Lynn is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join their dedicated team. With a focus on providing high-quality education and a supportive learning environment, the school is on a journey of rapid growth and improvement, and they are looking for a passionate MFL teacher to contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach MFL (French, Spanish, or German) across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
  • Inspire and engage students in the love of languages and different cultures.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular language activities.
  • Collaborate with the MFL department and school leadership to drive improvements and share best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish, or German (additional language skills are advantageous).
  • Experience teaching MFL at secondary level (NQTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply).
  • A commitment to improving student outcomes and contributing to the school’s ethos of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for language learning and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
