Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join our client school as a Teaching Assistant in February 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with the Maths department to support the delivery of lessons, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and assist with the supervision of students during break times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone considering a career in education to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in delivering Maths lessons to small groups or individual students as required.
• Provide additional support to students who require extra help with their Maths studies.
• Mark and provide feedback on student work as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and materials for Maths lessons.
• Supervise students during break times and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies that cater for diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:
• Applicants must have recently graduated with a degree in Mathematics or related field (minimum 2:2 classification).
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with strong organisational abilities and a commitment to supporting student learning in a secondary school setting.
• A DBS check will be required prior to starting employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
