Maths Teacher - Tameside

Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Tameside
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £162-£251 per day (dependent on pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Tameside. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students develop confidence and competence in mathematics, setting them up for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential for KS5 teaching.
  • Preparing students for GCSE exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Supporting students with targeted interventions to improve numeracy skills and close learning gaps.
  • Working collaboratively with the Maths Department to share resources and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4; experience with A-level Maths is an advantage.
  • A strong passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress.
  • A collaborative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
