Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Teacher to join a well-respected secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent this September. In this role, you will teach Maths to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting them to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and excel in their GCSE exams. The school has a strong focus on fostering a love for learning, and you will play an integral part in inspiring students to appreciate the importance of mathematics in everyday life and their future careers.

The successful candidate will be an innovative teacher with the ability to make complex mathematical topics accessible and engaging for all students. You will need to have a clear understanding of the national curriculum and be adept at delivering lessons that are both challenging and inclusive, catering to a wide range of abilities. The school offers an extensive range of resources and modern teaching facilities to support your lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4

  • Preparing students for GCSE exams, including creating revision materials and assessments

  • Differentiating lessons to cater to students of varying abilities

  • Providing constructive feedback and monitoring student progress

  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging and effective teaching resources

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
