Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Stockport (Secondary School)
Start Date: After May Half-Term (End of May 2025)
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for permanent)
Salary: £140 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Maths teacher to join a secondary school in Stockport after the May Half-Term. This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. As a Maths teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, supporting students' learning in one of the most essential and rewarding subjects in the curriculum.
This position is ideal for an experienced teacher or an NQT who is passionate about inspiring young people and helping them achieve their academic goals in Maths.
Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ensuring that the content is engaging and accessible to all learners.

Student Progress Monitoring: Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.

Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to manage behaviour and create a positive, focused learning environment.

Support for Differentiation: Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional learning needs and those who are excelling.

Collaboration: Work closely with other subject teachers and staff to ensure the best outcomes for students, contributing to whole-school improvement efforts.
Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A qualified Maths teacher with a recognised teaching qualification.

Subject Expertise: A strong background in teaching Maths at secondary level, including Key Stage 3 and 4.

Classroom Management: Experience in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.

Commitment to Student Success: A passion for Maths and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.

Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents.

DBS Check: Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
