Job description

Teacher of Mathematics - Permanent Role
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A highly reputable and large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Southampton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Mathematics to join their exceptional team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher to contribute to a school that is committed to academic excellence and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across all key stages, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Foster a culture of high achievement and academic excellence in Mathematics.
  • Use data to assess student progress and tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Collaborate with the Maths department and other teaching staff to continuously improve and innovate teaching practices.
  • Support students’ personal development and well-being.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of the Maths curriculum.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and department initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4; Key Stage 5 teaching experience is desirable.
  • A passion for Mathematics and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to personal and professional development.
  • The ability to promote and uphold the values of the Trust.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
