Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Newbury
Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive secondary school? Do you have a passion for inspiring students and helping them achieve their full potential in mathematics?

Our client, a well-respected secondary school in Newbury, is seeking a motivated and skilled Maths Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a dynamic and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching opportunities may be available).

  • Use a variety of teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to support learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and teaching strategies.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs or intervention sessions.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values and ethos.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is desirable but not essential).

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.

  • A commitment to raising attainment and ensuring all students achieve their potential.

  • A passion for Maths and a desire to inspire the next generation.
