Job description

Job Title: Maths Teacher

Location: South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Type: Contract position starting ASAP until May 2025 with full-time hours

Salary: £150 - £180 Per day (negotiable based on experience and travel)

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative maths lessons to students
  • Create and implement lesson plans in line with the curriculum
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support and guide students to achieve their academic goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Proven experience teaching maths at the secondary level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students

Education:

  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school
  • Demonstrated success in improving student achievement

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for maths
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
  • Proficient in using educational technology in the classroom
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) support
  • Experience with exam board requirements and assessments

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Regular school hours with some additional planning and assessment time
  • Collaborative work environment with supportive colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
