Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join a challenging and dynamic school in Manchester. We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client schools in Gorton, the successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to providing an engaging and inspiring learning environment for their students.

This role is a full-time position, and it is due to begin in January.

Throughout this role, you will earn in line with you Teacher Pay Scale point.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • For this role, you can either be an experienced teacher or be an ECT, it is essential that you are a fully qualified teacher.
  • A deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • You must be confident in your ability to manage the behaviour of students. This school does often face issues regarding the behaviour of their pupils. Success in this role will be dependent on your ability to control the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Set challenging and ambitious targets for student progress and monitor their achievement on a regular basis.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track student progress and inform teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities offered by the school, such as clubs, societies, and competitions.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and events, such as open evenings, parents’ evenings, and school assemblies.
  • Act as a role model for students, promoting positive values and behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
