Are you an ambitious Maths Teacher looking for a new opportunity?
Teaching personnel are seeking to appoint an experienced Mahs Teacher for one full Academic Year from Febuary 2025. You will be joining an ambitious, committed and hardworking team who are passionate about the difference we can make to our young people, staff, families and the wider community.
An ideal Maths Teacher would have the ability to teach high quality lessons and achieve excellent results across key stages 3 & 4. The successful Maths Teacher will be appointed on a full-time basis to start ASAP teaching Maths to GCSE and A-Level. This position is suitable for an ECT or an experienced Maths Teacher.
Overall, Purpose of Job:
In the role of a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with academy policies, under the direction of the principal
- Promote the achievement of high standards through effecting teaching and learning of Maths, including preparation, evaluation, and action planning
- Model the vision and values of the academy
- Be part of the team driving the development of the academy to become and remain an ‘outstanding’ academy
Requirements
- A good degree in an appropriate discipline related to Maths
- A teaching qualification together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A strong and secure subject knowledge in Maths up to GCSE
- Recent and relevant teaching experience
- Experience of assessment at key stage 3 and 4
- Awareness of the strategies available for improving the learning and achievement of all students
- A good understanding of curriculum developments in Maths
- Able to use a range of teaching and learning strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
